Biography
I am a PhD student in Industrial Engineering at Northeastern University, working under the supervision of Professor Shahin Shahrampour. I received my B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University.
Research Interests
My research lies at the intersection of optimization theory, differential geometry, and machine learning. In particular, I work on decentralized and distributed optimization, online optimization, Riemannian optimization, and geometric approaches to learning on manifolds.
My current work focuses on designing intrinsic optimization algorithms for nonconvex, nonsmooth, and geodesically convex objectives, and establishing Euclidean-like convergence rates in curved spaces. I am especially interested in how curvature, geometry, and structure influence optimization dynamics and large-scale learning systems.
